If you don’t have an instrument of your own yet, you can rent one from me for a small fee. The advantage is that you don’t have to make a larger investment if you’re not completely determined which instrument is right for you.
Instrument rental
For beginners, I offer a special Bass Starter Kit – including everything you’ll need to begin playing the bass:
- Electric bass
- Amplifier (also suitable for practising with headphones)
- Instrument cable
- Audio cable (to connect your computer, smartphone or mp3-player with the amplifier – so you can play bass together with your favourite music)
- Strap
- Tuner
- Bag (with backpack straps for convenient transportation)

Your advantages: no long-term commitment – you can always return the set after 30 days, or exchange the bass for another one – to be able to try different types (Jazz Bass Style, Precision Bass Style, Telecaster Style, Stingray Style, Beatles-Bass, Short Scale, 5-String, Acoustic Bass, Bass Ukulele etc.). The variety of instruments depends on current availability.
Besides the Bass Starter Kit I also offer basses and equipment for recordings and tours for rent.
I offer a wide range of high-quality electric basses (such as Sandberg, Music Man, Sire/Marcus Miller, Höfner, Fender, etc.), 3/4 and 4/4 double basses (incl. pickup), double bass bows, amplifiers (Markbass, Gallien Krueger, etc.), microphones (Austrian Audio, AKG, etc.), pickups (Fishman) and other equipment.
